Honey Buzzard Barns are 2 award-winning luxurious lakeside cottages (Mwsogl and Rhedyn) with private fishing rights just 5 miles from the Ceredigion coast and the picturesque seaside town of Aberaeron.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful spot in West Wales. Near enough to the coast and its beaches but far enough away to enjoy complete tranquillity when the crowds arrive in the Summer months. These newly renovated properties feature 2 large double bedrooms, upstairs bathrooms, 1 with a downstairs wet room and the other with a downstairs WC. The spacious, opulent lounges and kitchens mean that there is plenty of comfort for you to spread out in and relax during your stay, and Mwsogl has a large sofa bed, meaning that this cottage can sleep up to 6 people (£25 per person extra).

Features include a huge kitchen with dining table and all mod cons in a unique, quirky style, and large enclosed gardens with dedicated parking. Our water is drawn from the same spring as the famous Ty Nant water often found in 5* hotels and restaurants.

Nestled by the coast and near the Cambrian Mountains ‘dark-skies’ area, the cottages embrace the natural habitat of a multitude of wildlife including honey buzzards (hence the name), red kites, owls, woodpeckers, bats, polecats, pine martens, otters and many seabirds.

The coast features some of West Wales' most beautiful beaches, including dolphin watching excursions, water sports and sea fishing, whilst the mountains offer hiking trails and walks to suit all levels of proficiency, some with spectacular waterfalls and mountain scenery.

The seaside town of Aberystwyth is 15 miles to the North, whilst the artisan town of Cardigan is 25 miles to the South and features many quirky shops, restaurants and pubs, including a large arts and crafts covered market.

We have fishing rights on the adjacent lake which is stocked with carp, tench and rudd.

Both cottages are dog friendly and we provide a doggie welcome pack for our furry friends. The gardens are enclosed so your pets are able to roam freely.
